🎭 Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning on New Series ‘All Her Fault’

Two powerhouse talents — Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning — are teaming up for one of television’s most anticipated dramas of 2025: All Her Fault. Adapted from Andrea Mara’s bestselling psychological thriller, the series has been generating major buzz for its tense storyline, haunting performances, and razor-sharp exploration of trust, guilt, and motherhood.

Set in suburban Dublin, All Her Fault begins with a parent’s worst nightmare. Marissa Irvine (played by Snook) arrives to pick up her son Milo from a playdate — only to find strangers living in the house. They’ve never heard of Milo or the family who supposedly invited him. What follows is a chilling unraveling of secrets that link multiple families, exposing what people will do to protect their loved ones — and themselves.

Sarah Snook, fresh off her Emmy-winning role as Shiv Roy in Succession, told reporters that All Her Fault was “an emotional sledgehammer” of a project. “It’s about control, perception, and the hidden fractures in perfect lives,” she explained. “After Succession, I wanted something intimate but equally psychological — and this script was impossible to ignore.”

Dakota Fanning joins as Detective Laura Kiernan, the investigator assigned to Milo’s disappearance. The role pushes her into darker territory than fans have seen in recent years. “Laura’s not your typical detective,” Fanning said in an interview. “She’s navigating her own trauma while trying to untangle everyone else’s lies. It’s a story about fear and resilience — but also how easily the truth can be manipulated.”

The limited series, produced by Universal International Studios and Peacock, was filmed in Ireland with a predominantly local crew. Early critics’ reactions from preview screenings have been glowing, praising the duo’s chemistry and the show’s slow-burn tension reminiscent of Big Little Lies and The Undoing.

Director Dathai Keane (of Smother fame) brings a cinematic edge to the production — mixing eerie suburban quiet with moments of raw emotional intensity. “We wanted the world to feel familiar and safe at first,” Keane shared. “That’s what makes the disappearance so terrifying — the danger comes from inside the normal.”

Fanning and Snook also praised each other’s performances, with Snook calling Dakota “fearless and intuitive” and Fanning describing Sarah as “a force of nature on screen.” Their dynamic reportedly drives much of the tension, with mutual suspicion simmering beneath every exchange.

All Her Fault is set to premiere later this month on Peacock (US) and Sky Atlantic (UK), with international rollout plans already underway.

Given its gripping premise, star power, and meticulous writing, it’s poised to become one of 2025’s standout TV dramas — and a major award-season contender.
